A community of faith, hope, and love — rooted in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Cherryfield Baptist Church has deep roots in the spiritual landscape of Moncton, New Brunswick. What began as a small gathering of committed believers seeking to worship God and serve their neighbours has grown into a vibrant congregation touching thousands of lives across Greater Moncton and beyond.
The Baptist tradition from which we come is one of the oldest and most widely established streams of Protestant Christianity in Atlantic Canada. Shaped by the historic principles of congregational governance, the authority of Scripture, the priesthood of all believers, and believer's baptism, we stand in a long line of men and women who have given their lives to the cause of the Gospel in this land.
Through decades of ministry — spanning seasons of revival and seasons of quiet faithfulness — Cherryfield Baptist Church has remained committed to one unchanging purpose: to know Christ and to make Him known in our community, our province, and beyond.
Today, we are a multigenerational congregation that welcomes people from all walks of life. Whether you are a lifelong Baptist, a newcomer exploring faith for the first time, or someone returning after years away, you will find at Cherryfield a community that genuinely cares for you.

Our Statement of Faith reflects the historic Baptist confessional tradition
We believe the Bible — both Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the supreme standard by which all Christian conduct, creed, and doctrine must be measured.
We believe that all humanity is fallen and in need of God's saving grace. Salvation is received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — not by human merit or religious works of any kind.
We practice baptism by immersion as an outward sign of an inward transformation. Baptism is reserved for those who have made a personal, conscious decision to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
We affirm the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity — that the one true God eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three distinct persons of one divine essence and equal in glory.
Every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ, our great High Priest. We affirm the spiritual dignity and responsibility of every member of the body of Christ to minister, pray, and serve.
We are called to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20). This commission shapes our vision for local outreach in Moncton, community ministry across New Brunswick, and global missions partnership.
Cherryfield Baptist Church operates under a congregational model of church governance — one of the hallmarks of the Baptist tradition. This means that the members of the congregation, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit and guided by Scripture, share responsibility for the direction and decisions of the church.
Our pastoral leadership team provides spiritual oversight, Biblical teaching, and pastoral care, while elected deacons and ministry leaders serve alongside the congregation in day-to-day ministry operations.
As a registered Canadian charity (BN: 823444591RR0001), we are committed to financial transparency and accountability in all our operations — stewarding every resource entrusted to us with integrity and care.
